Product Overview

What are Incoloy 925 Screws?

Incoloy 925 screws are high-strength nickel-iron-chromium alloy fasteners manufactured from UNS N09925 bar stock, conforming to ASTM B805. The alloy is precipitation-hardenable, with additions of molybdenum, copper, titanium, and aluminum, providing excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in aggressive environments, especially those containing sulfides and chlorides.

Incoloy 925 screws are widely specified for critical bolted joints in oil & gas, marine, and chemical processing industries, where both high mechanical strength and resistance to sour gas (H2S) and chloride-induced corrosion are essential. All fasteners are supplied with full traceability and NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliance for sour service applications.

Material Chemistry

Incoloy 925 Chemical Composition

Incoloy 925 Screws are produced from an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with controlled nickel (30–46%), chromium (19–23%), and molybdenum content per ASTM. Nickel and chromium together resist high-temperature oxidation to 1093°C in 800H grades, while molybdenum and copper additions in Incoloy 825 provide sulfuric and phosphoric acid resistance.

Why Incoloy 925 Alloy Composition Matters for Screws

Ni-Cr-Fe Matrix — Corrosion & Strength
The nickel-iron-chromium base provides Incoloy 925 screws with a unique combination of high strength and resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, as well as chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Mo & Cu — Pitting and Sulfide Resistance
Molybdenum and copper enhance resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and attack by hydrogen sulfide, making these screws ideal for sour gas and marine applications.
Ti & Al — Precipitation Hardening
Titanium and aluminum enable precipitation hardening, delivering high yield and tensile strength without compromising ductility or corrosion resistance.

Industry Applications

Incoloy 925 Screws Applications — Industries & End Uses

Incoloy 925 Screws from RealBolt are specified across petrochemical furnaces, chemical processing, nuclear, and power generation where very good corrosion resistance and 620 MPa tensile strength are required for reliable fastener performance. Click each industry below for detailed application examples.
Incoloy 925 screws are widely used in downhole tools, completion equipment, and subsea valve assemblies where resistance to H2S, CO2, and chlorides is critical. NACE MR0175 compliance ensures safe use in sour gas wells and offshore production systems.
Socket head and hex screws for marine riser flanges, splash zone supports, and seawater-cooled heat exchangers where pitting and crevice corrosion resistance is essential for long-term reliability.
Used in reactor closures, pressure vessel nozzles, and heat exchanger channel covers exposed to organic acids, chlorides, and mixed halide streams where stainless steel fasteners fail.
Screws for flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) scrubber internals, HRSG ducting, and gas turbine exhaust hardware where high strength and resistance to acidic condensates are required.
