Product Overview

What are Incoloy 800H Bolts?

Incoloy 800H bolts are high-temperature nickel-iron-chromium alloy fasteners manufactured from UNS N08810 bar stock in accordance with ASTM B408. The alloy’s increased carbon content (0.05-0.10%) and controlled grain size provide superior creep and rupture strength above 600°C, making these bolts ideal for demanding thermal cycling and high-pressure service.

Incoloy 800H bolts are specified for use in heat exchangers, reformer outlet manifolds, superheaters, and petrochemical process equipment where resistance to oxidation, carburization, and chloride stress corrosion cracking is critical. All bolts are supplied with full traceability and EN 10204 3.1 certification.

Material Chemistry

Incoloy 800H Chemical Composition

Incoloy 800H Bolts are produced from an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with controlled nickel (30–46%), chromium (19–23%), and molybdenum content per ASTM. Nickel and chromium together resist high-temperature oxidation to 1093°C in 800H grades, while molybdenum and copper additions in Incoloy 825 provide sulfuric and phosphoric acid resistance.

Why Incoloy 800H Alloy Composition Matters for Bolts

High Nickel & Chromium — Oxidation & Carburization Resistance
The high nickel and chromium content in Incoloy 800H provides outstanding resistance to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures, ensuring bolt integrity in furnace and reformer service.
Al + Ti Stabilization — Grain Structure Control
Aluminium and titanium additions stabilize the austenitic structure, preventing grain growth and sensitization during long-term exposure to high temperatures, which is critical for creep strength in bolted joints.
Controlled Carbon — Creep Rupture Strength
The specified carbon range (0.05–0.10%) in 800H increases creep and rupture strength, making these bolts reliable for continuous operation above 600°C in petrochemical and power plant applications.
