Product Overview
Inconel 718 bolts are precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium-iron alloy fasteners machined from UNS N07718 bar stock conforming to ASTM B637. The alloy derives its exceptional strength from a dual precipitation hardening mechanism involving gamma-prime (Ni3Al) and gamma-double-prime (Ni3Nb) phases, delivering a minimum tensile strength of 1241 MPa in the aged condition – nearly double that of Inconel 625.
Inconel 718 bolts are the preferred fastener material for applications demanding high clamping force at elevated temperatures up to 700°C combined with resistance to stress corrosion cracking. They are specified under AMS 5662/5664, ASTM B637, and NACE MR0175 for gas turbine casings, aerospace structural joints, pressure vessel closures, and high-pressure wellhead equipment worldwide.
