Product Overview
ASTM A193 Grade B16 nuts are high-strength alloy steel fasteners designed for use in high-pressure, high-temperature bolted connections. Manufactured from chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel, these nuts are heat treated to achieve superior mechanical properties, making them ideal for critical applications in the petrochemical, power generation, and oil & gas industries. ASTM A193 B16 nuts are typically paired with B16 bolts and studs for flange joints, pressure vessels, and piping systems operating at elevated temperatures up to 593°C (1100°F).
With a minimum tensile strength of 860 MPa and excellent creep resistance, B16 nuts are specified for Class 1 and Class 2 pressure boundary bolting in ASME B16.5 and B16.47 flanges, especially where higher strength than B7 is required. All nuts are supplied with full traceability and certification to ASTM A194 Grade 7 or 4, as appropriate.
