Product Overview

What are Incoloy 825 Threaded Rods?

Incoloy 825 threaded rods are high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy fasteners manufactured from UNS N08825 bar stock in accordance with ASTM B425. The alloy’s balanced composition of nickel (38-46%), chromium (19.5-23.5%), and molybdenum (2.5-3.5%) provides exceptional resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, including sulfuric and phosphoric acid, as well as chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.

Incoloy 825 threaded rods are widely specified for use in chemical processing, oil & gas, and pollution control equipment where superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are required at temperatures up to 540°C. All rods are supplied with full traceability and EN 10204 3.1 certification.

Material Chemistry

Incoloy 825 Chemical Composition

Incoloy 825 Threaded Rods are produced from an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with controlled nickel (30–46%), chromium (19–23%), and molybdenum content per ASTM. Nickel and chromium together resist high-temperature oxidation to 1093°C in 800H grades, while molybdenum and copper additions in Incoloy 825 provide sulfuric and phosphoric acid resistance.

Why Incoloy 825 Alloy Composition Matters for Threaded Rods

Ni (38–46%) — Acid Resistance
High nickel content ensures resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, making Incoloy 825 threaded rods ideal for sulfuric and phosphoric acid environments in chemical plants.
Cr (19.5–23.5%) & Mo (2.5–3.5%) — Pitting & Crevice Corrosion Protection
Chromium and molybdenum provide robust protection against localized corrosion, especially in chloride-bearing solutions and seawater applications.
Cu (1.5–3.0%) & Ti (0.6–1.2%) — Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance
Copper and titanium additions enhance resistance to stress corrosion cracking and intergranular attack, critical for threaded rods in high-stress, high-temperature assemblies.
