Product Overview
Inconel 718 threaded rods are precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium-iron alloy fasteners manufactured from UNS N07718 bar stock conforming to ASTM B637. The alloy’s exceptional strength is achieved through a dual-phase precipitation hardening mechanism involving gamma-prime (Ni3Al) and gamma-double-prime (Ni3Nb) precipitates, delivering a minimum tensile strength of 1241 MPa in the aged condition – nearly double that of annealed Inconel 625.
Inconel 718 threaded rods are specified under NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour-service pressure vessel closures, high-temperature bolted flange assemblies, and aerospace structural connections. The alloy maintains full mechanical integrity from cryogenic temperatures up to 700°C, making it the preferred choice for gas turbine casings, nuclear reactor internals, and deep-well completion equipment worldwide.
